ASK THE PSYCHOLOGIST ISSUE 67: What Does Islaminist Mean?
The word I use for a political system,ISLAMINIST, is a combination of Islamists and communists is not a misspelling, but a combination of both destructive systems that individually have been killing people for millenniums, who resist their views.
An Islamist is a person who believes that the religion of Islam should guide political systems, laws, and public life. An Islamist differs from a general Muslim by actively pursuing political goals and the enforcement of Islamic law (Sharia) rather than just practicing a personal faith.
Islam started in the Arabian Peninsula during the late sixth and early seventh centuries AD. Its origins are centered on the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, who was born in Mecca around 570 AD. This region was dominated by a tribal and clan system with no central government or unified state. Most Arabs practiced polytheistic paganism, though neighboring empires and trade routes brought influences from Judaism, Christianity, and Zoroastrianism. Mecca was an important trading stop and the location of the Kaaba, a major sanctuary housing various tribal idol.
Around 610 AD, at about the age of 40, Muhammad retreated to meditate in the Cave of Hira on Mount Jabal al-Nour. Islamic tradition holds that the angel Gabriel (Jibril) visited him and commanded him to recite words from God (Allah), which formed the beginning of the Quran. Muhammad was in Mecca and derived a religion based on Judaism’s Old Testament. For the first 12 years of his teachings, he found it difficult to recruit followers. He then relocated his teachings to Medina, where many of the people there practiced Judaism and Christianity. Since initially his teachings were similar to their religious beliefs, he assumed they would follow his teachings. When this didn’t occur, he then became more militaristic in his approach to gain converts. He forced Jews and Christians in the area to pay a protection tax. If they refused, it could result in their death. He made Jews wear yellow stars on their clothing (Similar to what Hitler did prior and during WW II) and Christians wear belts around their waist. He viewed people of any other religion as infidels (A person who does not believe in a particular religion, an unbeliever, or someone with a different faith.). This word comes from the Latin word meaning “unfaithful”. It is often used as a harsh or disrespectful word and throughout history, if an infidel did not convert to Islam or pay the protection tax, it resulted in their death.
A historical example of this was when Grand Vizier Kara Mustafa celebrated the opening day of the battle for Vienna on September 11th by executing 30,000 Christian captives.
That is why the attack in New York City, etc. on 9/11/2001 has historical significance for Islamist’s. The Islamic terrorists of 2001 focused on the wrong date. They, like the Muslim Turks in 1683, saw the Christian virtues of mercy and tolerance as weakness. They should have learned the historical lesson from what happened on the day after September 11th,, 1683.
The defeat of the Ottoman Turks at Vienna on the 12th of September 1683 marked the turning point in the 300-year struggle between the forces of the Christian Central European kingdoms and the Muslim Ottoman Empire. It was the last attempt by Muslims to expand their power into Europe, and therefore The Battle of Vienna is considered one of the decisive battles of world history. The Icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa (also known as the Black Madonna of Czestochowa below), to whom Poland’s King Jan III Sobieski entrusted his nation and gave credit for the success of the Battle of Vienna.
It should be noted that The Ottoman Caliphate ended on March 3, 1924, when the Grand National Assembly of Turkey officially abolished the institution, deposed Abdülmecid II, and exiled the remaining members of the Ottoman dynasty. This event was led by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, as part of sweeping secular reforms, replacing the Ottoman system with the Republic of Turkey.
Current Political and Militant Movements Proclaiming a Caliphate
· Islamic State (ISIS): Proclaimed a caliphate in 2014 under Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi; operates via decentralized cells and regional affiliates after losing its core territory.
· Al-Qaeda: Endorses the future restoration of a caliphate through long-term insurgency rather than immediate premature declarations. ]
· Hizb ut-Tahrir: Operates as a global political organization utilizing non-violent propaganda and political activism to re-establish a unified Islamic state.
The historical concept of a caliphate is rooted in Sunni Islam and historically contested by Iranian Shia Muslims; groups like ISIS that pursue a caliphate are viewed by Iran as ideological and geopolitical rivals. Iran operates under Velayat-e Faqih (Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist), a system designed for Twelver Shia Islam rather than a traditional Sunni caliphate.
Iran is a theocracy, which is a form of government where a god or deity is recognized as the supreme civil ruler. The state’s legal system and laws are based on religious texts and teachings, and political leaders are usually religious clerics who claim to rule by divine authority. This Islamic country is no different than past Islamic states, when it comes to killing, not only others who they consider non-believers but its own people. As recent as 2026, they were reported to have killed over 40,000 of their own people who demonstrated against the government. Also, extreme forms of Islam teach that it is just to kill one who converts from Islam to another religion. In Iran, for years the government stated that their goal was to destroy Isreal and the United States. This has brought about a defensive war by the United States and Isreal to keep Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, so they could not make good on their threat.
The United States did not want a repeat of 911, that occurred in 2021, when New York City was attacked by fanatical Islamists. If Iran was to make good on its 47-year-old threat, it is logical to think their primary target would be to destroy New York City, since they see it as the capitol of evil. The people of America and especially New York City are fortunate that the American Government put a stop to this radical threat, before it occurred, regardless of what the brain washed people in the US and rest of the world are led to believe. Basically, if you don’t know history, both past and present, you are bound to repeat mistakes that could cost many lives.
The books , How the Media Creates Victims and The New Art of War, goes into detail on how communist countries and certain Islamic countries have worked to brain wash people, not only in the United States, but throughout the world. This brain washing became more evident when the 2026 World Cup was held in the United States, when people from throughout the world attended and stated openly that they were now able to see the United States as a great country, opposite to what they were told in their own countries.

Communism is a political and economic system based on public ownership, a classless society, and shared wealth. In this system, there is no private property, and everything needed to make goods—like factories and land—is owned by the public or the community, as a whole, rather than by private business owners.
Looking back on the origins of communism, one can see Marxism is the core theoretical framework that was created by Karl Marx, whereas socialism is a transitional economic steppingstone, and communism is the final stateless, classless goal.
Progressing To Communism
- Marxism: The foundational political and economic worldview analyzing class struggles between the bourgeoisie (owners) and proletariat (workers).
- Socialism: The intermediate phase where the state or community controls production, and workers are compensated based on their specific contribution or labor.
- Communism: The final, idealized stage where the state withers away, private property is completely abolished, and goods are distributed based on individual need (“From each according to his ability, to each according to his need”).
- While Marxism underpins communism, real-world communist systems have not achieved the classless society Marx envisioned.
- In actuality, countries that formed communist governments and Islamic governments (such as the former Soviet Union– now Russia, Communist China- CCP, Cuba and Iran, Afghanistan, etc.), a powerful single political party took control of the entire economy and all property, instead of leaving it to the local community.
- It’s not surprising that the leaders of these countries became extremely wealthy, violating the concept of a classless society Marx envisioned.
- Now let’s look at what has been occurring regarding these two political systems, not only in the United States, but worldwide in terms of how Communism and Islamism relate to each other.
- Since both forms of government have intentions to take over the world, you would think they would be adversaries. Historically, this has been true, since they are a threat to each other. An example of their competition for world supremacy is the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) having killed and persecuted Muslim populations in China across multiple historical eras, most notably during the 1949 takeover of Xinjiang, the 1975 Shadian massacre, and through the ongoing crackdown in Xinjiang that escalated in 2017.
It’s interesting that the CCP sees the Islamic religion as a potentially violent political religion, intent on dominating the world but sees the Catholic religion as no threat to dominate politically. An example of this was when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) made direct contact with the Pope and still maintains active, ongoing negotiations with the Vatican. After cutting formal diplomatic ties in 1951, both sides re-engaged in modern decades, culminating in a landmark provisional agreement in 2018 regarding the appointment of bishops in China. It should be noted that Catholic Bibles in China are being re-written with a communist viewpoint.
Both systems of governing previously mentioned have killed millions of people throughout history to control various countries throughout the world. Currently, people with these two political aspirations appear to be accepting the saying, THE ENEMY OF MY ENEMY IS MY FRIEND. Thus, what is occurring in the United States, starting with the mayor of New York City and spreading to other states, is the incorporation of Islam and communism. In theQuran, it actually teaches how to take over a community, then a city, then a state or region and eventually a country, without using force and force if necessary.
Dearborn, Michiganis an example of how a city becomes Islamic, having over 50% of the population being Muslim, with loudspeakers announcing a call to prayer 5 times a day. The non-Muslims in the city are unable to curb the loudspeakers blaring 5 times a day at present. The Muslim community took over most of the city by established foundational religious and social roots, constructing one of the area’s earliest mosques by the late 1930s. Chain migration was also effectively used to increase the number of Muslims moving into this community to over 50%. Not only is the recently elected Mayor of NYC following this Islamic procedure but also is incorporating procedures that communism dictates to control a population. He is truly a Islaminist. Other cities in the US are following this same protocol openly.
